ADVICE FOR MOVERS

1. Whether you have exchanged or not, contact our office to arrange for a free quotation or to discuss your specific requirements.

2. Confirm with us what level of service you require.

3. Warn mover of any difficult access at your current address as well as the property you are moving to.

3. If you have already exchanged, agree a firm completion date. If you have not exchanged, then always contact us prior to exchange in order to ensure your preferred removal date is still available. Better to be sure rather than commit to a date and find a company is fully booked!

4. Arrange for delivery or collection of your packaging materials.

5. Confirm a packing date or make sure all of your effects are properly packed and clearly marked well ahead of your moving date. Ensure furniture is dismantled as agreed and all appliances are disconnected, cleaned and drained (if applicable).

6. Check the list below to ensure you have told everyone about your move.

7. Make arrangements for children and pets to be looked after on the day.

8. Keep a box handy for last minute items (kettle, mugs etc) and make sure you have all relevant documentation, phone numbers etc you need for the move. Give your mobile number to the driver in case you need to be contacted.

9. Thoroughly check your old house before leaving and sign any paperwork.

10.On completion of the move into your new property, check with the driver that everything has been unloaded, sign the paperwork and settle your account.
